About Build Merge

Construction companies deserve more than backward-looking financial reports.

Build Merge Advisors is a specialized financial-management company focused on helping contractors understand performance, protect cash and make better operating decisions.

Our role

The financial operator at the owner’s side.

Your accountant has an important job: accurate statements, compliance and tax. Your bookkeeper keeps transactions organized. Build Merge fills the gap between recorded history and daily management—asking what the numbers mean and what the business should do next.

“Where are we making money? Where are we losing it? What will cash look like next month? Can we afford the next move?”

Those are management questions. They require more than clean books; they require active analysis.

The founder

Jeff Lingley

Jeff is a construction business owner with a financial background. He founded Build Merge Advisors because of the stories he kept hearing from contractors—busy, profitable-looking companies that were still short on cash or unsure which jobs actually made money—and from his own experience trying to balance running the work with managing the numbers.

Build Merge exists to give contractors the financial manager most of them never had: someone who understands the job site and the balance sheet.

Construction-first

Built around the economics of the job.

Construction is not a generic service business. Timing, labour, change orders, committed costs and collections can make a profitable company feel constantly short of cash.

Jobs before averages

Company-wide profit can hide project-level losses.

Margins before revenue

Growth only works when the underlying work is healthy.

Cash before surprises

Forecast the gaps before they become urgent.

Decisions before reports

Every review ends with clear owner actions.

What we are not

Not tax preparation. Not generic consulting. Not bookkeeping-first.

Our core service is ongoing financial management and business analysis. Bookkeeping is optional, and clients are welcome to keep the professionals they already trust.
